Hance hydraulic dynamometers cover a power testing range from 40 kW to 6,700 kW, making them suitable for testing both diesel and gasoline engines. Their unique operating principles and structural design enable high-power dynamometers to accurately test low-power engines—down to just 5% of their rated capacity—effectively allowing a single unit to perform the work of multiple machines. This makes them particularly well-suited to meet the specific needs of the engine repair industry and multi-variety production testing environments.

The HDX series comprises 12 distinct models sharing a common structural design; power absorption capacity is increased by adding additional stator and rotor assemblies. Designed to measure horsepower and power absorption performance across the entire product line, Hance DX engine dynamometers are capable of operating in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.

The HDX series accommodates power outputs ranging from as low as 35 KW up to 3300kW, with rotational speeds reaching up to 4,000 rpm. Currently, over 1000 Hance HDX series dynamometers are in active operation worldwide, spanning more than 20 countries across every continent; many of these unitshave been in continuous service for over 20 years.

The HDL series is suitable for power outputs ranging from as low as 200 kW up to 10,000 kW, with rotational speeds reaching up to 2,500 rpm.
